The Maserin Scout is a practical and compact EDC pocket knife. The first thing you notice is the stunning coloured micarta handle. Micarta is comprised of layers of canvas with epoxy which is compressed under high pressure. This leaves you with a very sturdy and beautiful handle material. Interesting about micarta is that it can become darker after use. It is the result of the oils in your hand that form a sort of patina. Getting tired of this dark colour? Simply degrease it with some petrol and the micarta will be almost as good as new again.
